„Personal Sound Space‟ ist der Titel einer Reihe von Werken, Installationen und Forschungsexperimenten, die alle auf dem theoretischen Teil der Masterarbeit in Sound Studies an der UdK Berlin beruhen. „Personal Sound Space (The Exhibition)‟ ist eine Sammlung von Anweisungen für die Dokumentation und Ausstellung von bedeutsamen auditiven Wahrnehmungen an einem besonderen Ort für einen einzelnen Hörer, Sammler oder Kurator. Es wurde zuerst 2011 in einer Privatwohnung in Berlin-Mitte realisiert.

Personal Sound Space (…) is the heading of a series of works, installations and research experiments based on the theoretical foundations of her Sound Studies master’s thesis. Personal Sound Space (The Exhibition) is a set of instructions for the documentation and exhibition of meaningful auditory perceptions within a particular space, according to an individual listener who is simultaneously archiver and curator. It was first realized in 2011 in a private apartment in Berlin.

Elen Flügge, geb. 1986 in Berlin, ist Autorin und Klangkünstlerin. Sie studierte in New York Neurophilosophie am Bard College und absolvierte in Berlin 2011 ihren Master of Arts in Sound Studies, mit Schwerpunkt in den Bereichen Theorie und Geschichte auditiver Kultur und Experimentelle Klanggestaltung. Ihre orts- und kontextspezifischen Installationen spiegeln ihre theoretische Auseinandersetzung mit audio-medialer Kultur wider.

Elen Flügge (1986, Berlin) is a writer and sound artist. Raised in New York, she studied at Bard College. Back in Berlin, she completed an MA in Sound Studies in 2011, focusing on auditory culture and experimental sound design. She creates site-specific works relevant to urban sonics and reflecting ongoing theoretical investigations of personal sound space.
